Pioneer Panel Systems, Inc. (Closet Logic’s parent company), was founded by Jim and Barb Krueger in 1986. Although Pioneer Panel Systems, Inc. focuses mainly on the manufacturing and wholesale of specialty building products, Jim’s passion lies in inventing. In 1987, he began designing and manufacturing custom organizing systems and created a division of Pioneer Panel Systems, Inc., called SysteMax. Due to the success of the building products, however, Jim did not have time to promote the organizing systems.

Over the years, the demand for the systems increased, as a small but steady stream of delighted customers returned for repeat business and referred their friends and family. After SysteMax survived solely through customers’ word of mouth advertising for 15 years, Jim’s daughter, Jessica, noted the dramatically growing demand. Possessing an ambitious, entrepreneurial spirit much like that of her parents, she created Closet Logic.

With the help of Barb, Jim, and her husband, Jeff, Jessica remodeled the closet showroom and renovated the shop facility to better accommodate Closet Logic customers. Her sister, Jenny, helped her to create an informational brochure, while Jeff started designing the web site and necessary software. Kevin Dockendorf, a long-time Pioneer Panel Systems, Inc. employee, and Jessica’s brother, Jason, assist in the production of the organizing systems.

Through these closely-knit, collaborative efforts, we are proud to have Closet Logic up and running, as a small and personable business, dedicated to satisfying each individual customer.
